me to introduce, myself, my mission and one HUGE
challenge!
 I’m Linda Porter, Healer, therapist, artist, photographer and
psychologist with an international
reputation for making a difference! As part
of taking out my ‘VISION’, I have pioneered

which although originally aimed at supporting young
people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
and their families soon developed into a ‘wounded
inner child healing journey’, with those who
embarked on that journey, soon realising that it is
“never too late to have a happy childhood.”
The
Personal Holistic Happiness programme proved
to be the stepping stone on the way, that made a
difference ....
It
took people out into a new space where they could
start to see things differently and move forward to
where their journey was always meant to take them.
However..
I soon discovered that some people resisted
movement forward at all costs and they would use
excuses to block themselves. The most often used
excuse went along the lines that “they didn’t
have the money!” for whatever it was they wanted
to do – and that seemed as a good a reason as any,
to block themselves from ever seeing their way
forward, towards their goals.
I
hadn’t realised this myself, until one day I found
myself, banging
my head against
a national funding body for Education’s
stone walling strategy. How painful was
that? It was then
I realised that was what everyone was doing
around me - I
was stuck in getting HET out there, where it was
needed, because no one would give me funding to do
this .......therapists wanted to train but
couldn’t because no one would give them
funding..... families would want to purchase
remedies and nutritional supplements but couldn’t
because no one would give them funding –
see what’s happening here?
WHAT
WAS GOING AROUND WAS COMING AROUND!!!
HET
was always an empowerment process, enabling young
people and their families to access a toolbox
strategy for life. It was
turning into a dependency culture of
“What are THEY going to do about it?”
like so many other ways people give away their power
to others on a daily basis built on control and
fear.
As
many of my projects came to fruition I became aware
that personal power starts with empowering those
around us.
 So many people look down the telescope the wrong end.... they believe
that to be powerful we need to deny others their
power through control.... And we can be so good at
doing that -
controlling others through our own subconscious fear
that we will lose control ourselves if those around
us find theirs..... the reality is that the most
powerful place to stand is right next to someone who
has just found their own power and if we have been
part of that process, - believe me ....the journey
is well worth making.
So...
my challenge – How could others who shared my
vision be part of it? Stand with me in taking that
vision out? Make a difference in their own lives,
the lives of others, those close to them? Maybe even
total strangers?
What
blocks people in the most part in achieving
this, is not the desire to create a better way for
them, their family and friends and even strangers
– for that is a motivating factor in most people I
have spoken with...
But
very often they are disempowered by their own lack
of funds to fuel their own vision... to serve the purpose of who they were truly
meant to be and
to generate that energy to come back in... as
‘income’ energy!
The
truth is that when we empower someone else – even
in a small way to us, or so it seems, that power
moves us forward too!
I
have heard so many reasons of why and how people put
their power on the back burner – always waiting
for that better job, car, house, relationship,
whatever and the list is endless....!
And
so – the first step to create a harmonious synergy
around me was to create a mechanism for others to
empower others...... WOW – Imagine that coming
back..... Beginning to get the idea now??
The
‘VISION’ starts in the smallest way –
By making a commitment to ourselves.... Any
good therapist
or healer will tell you that this is the most
important part of the healing process and no-one
else can do it for us.....we have to want to make
that change
Committing
to invest in a PERSONAL HOLISTIC HAPPINESS
programme is that first and most difficult step to
personal commitment – to do something for
ourselves.
When
we work through this programme ( and many therapists

else – remember the most powerful place to stand

been self empowered???
